Women's Basketball #Plays4Kay Saturday Against NEC Tied Forerunner, Robert Morris
A school supply donation drive to benefit Smalley Academy will be held at the main entrance to Detrick Gymnasium during the CCSU basketball double-header Saturday.
The Central Connecticut women's basketball team will #Play4Kay against the league leading, Robert Morris Colonials on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. The game will be in tribute to Breast Cancer Awareness. In addition, the Central volleyball and football teams are holding a school supply donation drive to benefit Smalley Academy in New Britain, CT. Donations will be collected at the main entrance to Detrick Gymnasium throughout the CCSU men's and women's double-header.
Robert Morris comes to New Britain hotter than any team in the league on an eight-game winning streak, and is tied with Sacred Heart at (11-3) at the helm of the conference standings. A Blue Devil win Saturday would give CCSU a two-game cushion in fourth place, if Bryant (7-7, fifth place) falls to visiting Saint Francis U. (10-4, third place), while knocking the Colonials out of first place.
