Women's Basketball Announces Northeast Conference Slate
The Blue Devils open NEC play at home against Wagner on December 29.
The Central Connecticut women's basketball team has released its 18-game Northeast Conference slate for 2016-17. The Blue Devils open league play against Wagner on Thursday, December 29th, at home in a 7:00 p.m. tipoff. The Blue Devils will then travel to St. Francis Brooklyn for a New Years Eve showdown.
The Blue Devils open the New Year with three straight Northeast Conference home games. Central will host Sacred Heart (Jan. 7), Mount St. Mary's (Jan. 9), and Fairleigh Dickinson (Jan. 14). CCSU will then hit the road for three games at LIU Brooklyn (Jan. 16), Saint Francis U. (Jan. 21) and at the defending NEC champion, Robert Morris (Jan. 23).
2016-17 CCSU WOMEN'S BASKETBALL SCHEDULE
Central closes out January with two home games, Bryant (Jan. 28) and LIU Brooklyn (Jan. 30), before playing four straight road games. Central will visit Mount St. Mary's (Feb. 4), Wagner (Feb. 6), Sacred Heart (Feb. 11) and Fairleigh Dickinson (Feb. 13) to begin the month.
Central returns home to host Robert Morris (Feb. 18), Saint Francis U. (Feb. 20), and St. Francis Brooklyn (Feb. 25) before closing out conference play at Bryant on Monday, Feb. 27.
The 2017 NEC tournament quarterfinals and semifinals will be played on March 5 and 8. The NEC championship game will be played one week later on Sunday, March 12.
The Blue Devils' tipoff against Dartmouth on Friday, Nov. 11 at 7:30 p.m. in Hanover, NH. The 2016-17 season marks Beryl Piper's 10th season as CCSU head coach.
