Previously For Both Teams • The Blue Devils fell to Sacred Heart 82-61 on Saturday in Fairfield, CT. The Knights enter Monday's contest on a two-game winning streak, last topping LIU Brooklyn at home, 67-54. Central sits in the fourth spot in the league, while Fairleigh Dickinson holds seventh place.
Series History (24-15) • Central leads the overall series, 24-15, with the Knights. The Blue Devils won the first meeting this season, 68-49. Last year, CCSU defeated FDU on Feb. 27, 2016 at home, 71-59. The Blue Devils had three players score in double figures, including 10 points from senior Aleah Epps, shooting a collective 41.3% from the field. Fairleigh Dickinson dropped its home meeting with CCSU last season, 78-75, on Jan. 1, 2016.
Scouting FDU • Brianna Thomas leads the Knights in scorinig with 11.3 ppg. Fairleigh Dickinson ranks first in the league in offensive rebounds, averaging 15.21 a game, led by it's team leader in rebounding, Amina Markovic, witih 3.0 OB's per contest (2nd - NEC).
Last Meeting • The Blue Devils handedly won against the Knights early this season, out-rebounding FDU 60-32. CCSU shot 43.1% as a team, led by sophomore Andi Lydon with 18 points and 11 rebounds, 15 of which came in the first half. Brianna Thomas led Fairleigh Dickinson with 20 points.
Up Next For CCSU • Central Connecticut will host Robert Morris on Saturday, Feb. 18 at 1:00 p.m. and Saint Francis U on Monday, Feb. 20 (President's Day). The RMU game will be women's basketball's Breat Cancer Awareness game, and the President's Day match with SFU will begin at 2:00 p.m. and will be FREE ADMISSION to all fans.
KEY-Ana • Second year Blue Devil Kiana Patterson, has proven to be CCSU's key three-point threat, draining 55-of-155 (35.5%). Patterson's six three's at St. Francis Brooklyn on Dec. 31, tied her for third all-time for most single-game three-pointers. The sophomore is now in third place in the all-time school record books for most single-season three-pointers, passing Camden Musgrave ('14-'15) with 54 three's.
