Swim & Dive Named CSCAA Scholar All America Team
The Blue Devils received the award for their classroom excellence during the Fall 2012 semester.
The Central Connecticut swimming and diving team was named to the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All America Team list for its excellence in the classroom during the Fall 2012 semester.
The Blue Devils earned a 3.30 GPA for the fall semester, ranking them 60th in the nation. Central is ranked second in the Northeast Conference in GPA, surpassed only by Saint Francis (PA). The Red Flash came in at 18th in the nation with a 3.45 GPA.
The Team Scholar All America Award is presented to college and university swimming and diving teams who have achieved a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher. The award is presented to teams achieving this standard in the fall semester and in the semester of the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships.
Also representing the NEC on the list is the Bryant Bulldogs who achieved a 3.03 GPA for the semester.

The Blue Devils return to the pool tomorrow, Wednesday, Feb. 27, in Cambridge, MA for day one of the NEC Championships. The preliminaries will begin at 7 p.m.
