CCSU Diving Hosts First Meet of Season
CCSU earns pair of second place finishes in Sophomore Kaitlyn Dwyer (1-meter) and freshman Jessica Goldman (3-meter).
The CCSU diving team hosted its first meet of the 2012 season, the CCSU Diving Invitational, at the Jack Suydam Natatorium in New Britain, CT on Saturday against Wagner.
Sophomore Kaitlyn Dwyer finished second in the 1-meter, earning a score of 191.025. Dwyer finished behind Erica Curry of Wagner who earned a 206.55 in the event.
Following the 1-meter competition, the Blue Devils began the 3-meter event. After leading the 3-meter preliminaries, freshman Jessica Goldman earned a second-place finish in the finals with a 189.075 after six dives. Goldman finished behind Curry who scored a 206.85 and Dwyer finished just behind Goldman in third totaling 162.90.

The Blue Devils will return to action on Saturday, Oct. 27 at home in the Jack Suydam Natatorium against Duquesne and Saint Francis (PA) for the Think Pink Meet. The event will benefit breast cancer awareness and will begin at 10 a.m.
