Women's Soccer Draws Penn State for First Round of the NCAA Tournament
After winning its 13th Northeast Conference championship in program history, the Central Connecticut women's soccer team will head to University Park, PA, to face Penn State in the NCAA Women's Soccer Tournament. Central is 10-4-5 overall and will be making its fifth NCAA appearance since 2018.

The Blue Devils and Nittany Lions will play on Friday, November 10, at 6:00 p.m. at Jeffrey Field. The game will be available on the Big10 Network. Penn State (13-2-4) is the regional No. 2 seed.
Head coach Mick D'Arcy guided the Blue Devils to a 1-1 tie and win in PK shootouts (4-3) over Wagner in the NEC championship. Central went undefeated in regular season play in back-to-back seasons for the first time since 97'-98'. They have not lost in the regular season to a conference opponent since 2021.
The Blue Devils will be making their 13th NCAA Tournament appearance overall. They have won conference titles in 1998, 1999, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2008, 2014, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2023. In 2019 the Blue Devils traveled to Rutgers and were victorious in a 1-0 battle, but lost to West Virginia 1-0 in 2OT in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
