
Men's Basketball Celebrates Senior Day, Downs Stonehilll for 10th Straight Win
The Central Connecticut men's basketball team celebrated Senior Day with a 67-41 win over Stonehill on Saturday in New Britain, CT. The Blue Devils won their 10th straight game on a day honoring seniors Jayden Brown, Jordan Jones, Brody Limric, Jaelen McGlone, Abdul Momoh, Joe Ostrowsky and Davonte Sweatman, along with senior team manager Cam Stickles. With the win, Central clinched at least a share of its second straight Northeast Conference regular season crown.
Jordan Jones paced all scorers with 23 points, while Devin Haid was the only other Blue Devil in double-figures with 10 points. Brown and Momoh grabbed 10 and nine rebounds, respectively. Central shot 27-of-68 (.397) overall and was 9-of-24 (.375) from three-point range. The Blue Devils were 4-of-6 (.667) at the foul line.
Todd Brogna led Stonehill with 11 points. The Skyhawks shot 16-of-51 (.313) overall and 3-of-20 (.150) on three-pointers. Stonehill was 6-of-11 (.545) at the foul line.

KEY MOMENTS
- Jordan Jones hit his third three-pointer in the opening 10 minutes to spot Central a 16-7 lead. Stonehill would respond with nine straight points to tie the game before Davonte Sweatman ended the run with a short jumper.
- The Skyhawks would tie the game at 18-all with 6:37 lef in the half. A three-point play by Jayden Brown would spark seven straight points by Central. Although Stonehill would stem tide with a Todd Brogna layup, but that would be the Skyhawks' last field goal of the period. The Blue Devils would close the half on a 12-1 run with Jaelen McGlone connecting on five points in the spurt and a trifecta by Jordan Jones made it 37-21 at the break.
- The Blue Devils' defense would limit Stonehill to just three field goals over an 11-minute span and would build a 20-point lead early in the second half. After making it a 58-41 game with 8:46 to play, the Skyhawks would be shutout the rest of the way and Central would cap its largest lead of the game with the final margin.

- Brown and Momoh each had two blocked shots and are both tied for 7th all-time at CCSU with 107.
- Along with Jones, the Blue Devils got points from each of their seniors; McGlone (8), Brown (5), Momoh (4), Sweatman (4), Ostrowsky (3) and Limric (2)
- CCSU won its 10th straight game, its longest win streak since Jan. 13-Feb. 15, 2007, when it won 12 in a row.
- CCSU leads the all-time series, 31-7, and has won five straight.
