
Second Half Surge Lifts Men's Basketball by Stonehill
The Central Connecticut men's basketball team won its fifth-straight Northeast Conference game with a 71-63 win at Stonehill on Saturday afternoon in Easton, MA. The Blue Devils shot 56 percent from the field in the second half, while having four players score in double-figures to maintain its first-place standing in the league standings.
Jordan Jones scored a game-high 20 points, while Devin Haid added 17 points, with Abdul Momoh and Jayden Brown adding 14 and 10 points, respectively. Central shot 29-of-56 (.518) overall despite shooting 0-of-8 (.000) from three-point range. The Blue Devils were 13-of-17 (.765) at the foul line.
Louie Semona led Stonehill with 20 points. The Skyhawks shot 24-of-54 (.444) overall and 12-of-29 (.414) on three-pointers. Stonehill was 3-of-5 (.600) at the foul line.

KEY MOMENTS
- Central Connecticut would miss the mark on its three-pointers all afternoon, while Stonehill made 3-of-5 to open the game and would lead 22-15 after an Ethan Meuser three-pointer at the 8:19 mark.
- The Blue Devils would shoot 46 percent from the field in the half and closed the period with a 6-0 run over the final 2:03. A turnaround jumper by Abdul Momoh would send the teams into halftime knotted at 30-all.
- Midway through the second half, CCSU would hold Stonehill scoreless for over five minutes and used a 14-0 run to take its largest lead of the afternoon. Joe Ostrowsky would get his first points of the game with a layup to put Central up 54-44 with 6:54 to play.

CCSU would hit 4-of-4 from the line in the final minute to settle the final margin.
