Men's Track & Field Competes at UNH
Nick Trifone placed fourth in the high jump.
The Central Connecticut men's track & field team competed at the UNH Wildcat Invitational Saturday, April 28th. The meet featured UNH, Vermont, Dartmouth, UMASS Amherst, UMASS Lowell, New England College, UCONN, and Central.
Senior Nick Trifone highlighted the high jump for the Blue Devils posting a fourth place finish with a height of 1.84m (6'00.50").
Also in the field for Central, sophomore Leonardo Davidson threw the shot 14.01m (45'11.75"), good for fourth place. Davidson also placed sixth in the discus with a 40.20m (131'11") mark.
Sophomore Michael Ficorilli registered a 41.08m (134'09") throw in the hammer throw, good for sixth.
Junior Benjamin Lazarus finished the 1,500m in 4:04.40 which placed him seventh.
Penn Relays
The Blue Devil Brian Biekert, senior Robert Weston, freshman Patrick Hubbell, and freshman Joey Farrington ran on the final day of the 2012 Penn Relays. The three-day meet was held at Franklin Field in Philadelphia, PA.
The realy team placed 23rd in the event and crossed the line at 7:49.78. They placed 11th in their heat.
