Men's Track 8th at Donahue Indoor Games
Central tallied 32 points at the Joe Donahue Collegiate Indoor Games finishing eighth.
The Central Connecticut men's track & field team finished eighth with 32 points at the Joe Donahue Collegiate Indoor Games on Friday. The multi-team meet, held at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston, hosted 16 schools. Central pushed passed Maine who finished behind the Blue Devils in ninth place and finished just behind Wesleyan who finished seventh.
Senior Elijah Boles earned a seventh place seat in the 200m dash posting a time of 23.04. Freshman Jamal Fruster took the sixth place spot in the 400m dash crossing the line at 50.45. In the 800m run, senior Mike Waterbury clocked in at 1.55.61, good for seventh place. Central's 'A' team won the 4x400m relay, securing the victory with a time of 3:22.20.
In the field, senior Nick Trifone placed fifth in the high jump with a height of 1.93m. Senior Matt Berube jumped a distance of 6.71m in the long jump and 13.79m in the triple jump. He earned a sixth place spot in the high jump and eighth place spot in the triple jump.
The Blue Devils will be back in action again on Saturday January 28th at the Boston University Terrier Invitational.
