Men's T&F Places 4th at Holy Cross

The Central Connecticut men's track & field team wrapped up the Holy Cross Invitational on Saturday finishing in fourth place with 87 points. Maine sealed the meet victory posting 206 points while Holy Cross (139), Stonehill (128.50), Central, Bryant (73.50), and Hartford (66) rounded out the six team field.
Senior Matt Berube earned gold in the long jump placing first with a 6.65m jump (21'10.00"). The senior also placed fourth in the triple jump posting a 13.82m (45'4.25") mark.
In the field for the Blue Devils, sophomore Leonardo Davidson threw the shot 14.19m (46'6.75") and finished third in the event. Davidson also placed fifth in the discus with a 39.92 (131'00") distance. Senior Nick Trifone stamped a third place finish in the high jump with a 1.95m (6'4.75") jump.
Senior Anthony Gonsalves ran to a third place finish in the 3,000m steeplechase. His 9:24.75 time gathered six points for the Blue Devils.
The 4x100m relay team for Central was the event's runner up with a mark of 42.35, grabbing eight points.
In the 400m, freshman Jamal Fruster sprinted to a 48.39 finish which placed him second in the event.
Junior Elijah Boles ran an 11.11 time in the 100m which was food for a fourht place finish. Boles also placed sixth in the 200m with a time of 22.29.
LSU Alumni Gold Meet
Juniors Aaron Radden and Nick Lindblom both competed seperately from Central this weekend at the LSU Alumni Gold meet.
Radden placed fifth in the 100m crossing the finish line at the 10.66 mark. His time was .16 seconds off of the CCSU school record.
Lindblom ran the 400m hurdles in a time of 54.88 which placed him third in the event. He finished just 1.22 seconds behind the event's runner up.
Princeton Larry Ellis Invitational
Junior dustance runner Colby Delbene was the lone Blue Devil to compete at the Princeton Larry Ellis Invitational this weekend.
The junior posted a 3:52.00 time in the 1,500m which was just 5.6 seconds off of the CCSU School record.
