NEC Recognizes Radden
Junior Aaron Radden earned Northeast Conference Athlete of the Week honors on Wednesday.
In a record breaking performance, junior Aaron Radden was honored by the Northeast Conference this week and tabbed NEC Athlete of the Week. Radden eclipsed the 6.44 55m school record held previously by Conroy Davis in 1992.
From one Constitution State product to another one goes the NEC Track Athlete of the Week award. Central Connecticut sprinter Aaron Radden (Waterbury) turned in a seasonal best time to wrestle the honor away from Sacred Heart hurdler Bertony Jean-Louis (Norwalk). Radden ran to victory in the 55-meter dash at the UConn Winter Invitational, edging out Jesse Drinks of the host Huskies Radden's converted time (6.82) stands atop the NEC's 60-meter dash performance list and would have been good enough for first place at the 2011 NEC Indoor Championships. He is also well under the IC4A Championship standard.
