Baseball Opens NEC Play Friday at 2:00 PM
The Blue Devils open Northeast Conference play against Mount St. Mary's
The Central Connecticut baseball team opens Northeast Conference play against Mount St. Mary's this weekend at CCSU Baseball Field. The three-game series begins with a 2:00 p.m. first pitch on Friday.
The Blue Devils enter the weekend with a 6-7 record overall, while the Mountaineers are 0-11 thus far. The series will open conference play for both squads.
Junior Dean Lockery is hitting a team-best .333 to lead the Blue Devils at the plate. He has added nine runs, seven doubles and 10 RBIs through 13 games. Senior Andrew Hinckley has posted a 2-1 mark with a 3.00 earned run average and has 28 strikeouts on the mound. Sophomore Jared Gallagher has collected three saves in five appearances.
