Perry Named NEC Rookie of the Week
After competing at the Holy Cross Invitational this weekend in Worcester, MA, Marina Perry was named the Northeast Conference's Track and Field Rookie of the Week.
After competing at the Holy Cross Invitational this weekend in Worcester, MA, Marina Perry was named the Northeast Conference's Track and Field Rookie of the Week. She was also named an NEC Prime Performer.
Perry snagged two new collegiate bests with a 42.07m throw in the discus event (fifth place) and a 42.72m toss in the hammer throw (10th place). She also competed in the shot put, placing 12th with a 10.39m toss.
Perry is currently ranked in the top-five in the conference standings for both the discus throw (second) and shot-put (fifth) events.
The Blue Devils will be back in action on Friday when they host their Blue Devil Invitational at home in New Britain, CT.
