Rafter and Hurd Earn NEC Athlete of the Week Awards
After standout performances at the John Thomas Terrier Classic in Boston, MA on Saturday, Angie Rafter and Alissa Hurd were selected as Athletes of the Week by the Northeast Conference.
After standout performances at the John Thomas Terrier Classic in Boston, MA on Saturday, Angie Rafter and Alissa Hurd were selected as Athletes of the Week by the Northeast Conference.
Rafter earned her fifth Track Athlete of the Week award this season after being the top collegiate finisher in the 3,000m, running a career-best 9:06.82.
Hurd collected her third Field Athlete of the Week award after winning the high jump, leaping 1.65m (5'5").
Rafter and Hurd were also named Prime Performers alongside teammate Ashley Dana.
Dana ran 2:12.21 to place 16th in the 800m.
The Blue Devils will be back in action February 2nd-3rd at the New England Championships.
