Hurd Wins High Jump At John Thomas Terrier Classic
Six top-10 finishes for the Blue Devils Saturday
The Central Connecticut women's track and Field team competed at the John Thomas Terrier Classic, hosted by Boston University, today in Boston, MA. The day was highlighted by top-10 finishes, including a win for Alissa Hurd.
The Blue Devils return to action on February 2-3 for New Englands, which will be held at the New Balance Center in Boston, MA.
- Hurd won the high jump, leaping 1.65m (5'5")
- Angie Rafter was the top collegiate finisher in the 3,000m, running a career-best 9:06.82
- The Blue Devils had a three top-10 finishes in the 60m dash, with Nuchwara Inthasit running 8.09 to finish eighth and Kalesha Darisme and Adrana Brathwait both clocking 8.11 to tie for 10th
- Marina Perry had a shot put effort of 11.3m (37'1") for a ninth-place effort
- The 4x400 relay placed 10th with a run of 4:02.25
- Perry placed 13th in the weight show with a 13.6m (44'7") effort
- Ashley Dana ran 2:12.21 to place 16th in the 800m
- Abigail Burgess jumped 5.22m (17' 15") in the long jump for 16th place showing
- Magnalen Camara ran a 25.57 200 dash, good for 22nd
