Track & Field Honors Seniors at Blue Devil Invite
Central Connecticut Women’s Track and Field hosted the Blue Devil Invitational today at the CCSU Track in New Britain, CT. Central honored their 20 seniors, 11 female and nine male student athletes, prior to the start of the meet.
Central Connecticut Women's Track and Field hosted the Blue Devil Invitational today at the CCSU Track in New Britain, CT. Central honored their 20 seniors, 11 female and nine male student athletes, prior to the start of the meet.
The Blue Devils accumulated 172.5 points to top the team score, followed by Hartford at 160.5 points.
TRACK HIGHLIGHTS

Tamara Rawles snagged first place in the 400m dash with a time of 57.42.

Kalesha Darisme won the 100m dash in 12.48, while Nuchwara Inthasit took fifth, crossing the finish line in 12.91.

CCSU's 4x100m relay, consisting of Inthasit, Darisme, Magnalen Camara, and Rawles, finished in 48.94 to earn first place.

Kaylee Gravel won the 800m race for the Blue Devils, coming in at 2:20.57, while Maggie LoSchiavo took fourth with a time of 2:30.25.

Emily Fedor competed in the 100m hurdles, taking seventh with a time of 18.14.

Central snagged the first, third, and fifth place spots in the 400m hurdles. Camara won the event in 1:04.67.

Kaylia Bailey earned third in the 200m dash, crossing the finish line in 26.54.

Julianna Cancellieri (10:46.94), Kayla Cohen (11:30.72), and Alyssa Carusone (11:30.91) placed fourth, fifth, and sixth, respectively, in the 3,000m race.

The Blue Devils 4x400m relay (Kamilah Diaz, Gravel, LoSchiavo, and Grace Martel) came out on top, finishing in 4:31.14.
FIELD HIGHLIGHTS

Aaliyah Walker and Christianna Morley took third (5.12m) and fourth (4.96m), respectively, in the long jump.

Alissa Hurd tied for third in the high jump (1.65m), while Erin Egan took sixth (1.55m).

Walker won the triple jump, leaping 11.15m. Egan took third in the event with a 10.38m jump.
THROWS HIGHLIGHTS
- Marina Perry and Sarah Ovesny took the top two spots in the hammer throw, with 45.43m annd 43.44m throws
- Perry captured third place in the shot put, 12.09m, and the discus, 37.60m
