Eberhardt Takes NEC Track Athlete of the Week Honor
Eberhardt named NEC Track Athlete of the Week for second straight week.
Central Connecticut senior Elizabeth Eberhardt was named the Northeast Conference Women's Track Athlete of the Week for the second week in a row it was announced by the league office on Tuesday.
At the UMass Pre-Conference Meet, she logged a top-five finish in the 1,500m run, producing the fastest time by an NEC athlete this season. Setting her collegiate personal-best, Eberhardt crossed the line in 4:33.33 and earned an automatic bid to the ECAC Championships in the process. Eberhardt's 1,500m performance came one week after the CCSU senior posted a league-leading steeple chase time at Princeton's Larry Ellis Invitational.
Eberhardt and the Blue Devils are in action at the NEC Championships on May 2-3 at Mount St. Mary's in Emmitsburg, MD.
