Three members of the Central Connecticut women's outdoor track and field team competed at the Larry Ellis Invitational in Princeton, NJ this weekend. The meet was hosted by Princeton University at the Weaver Track and Field Stadium over the past two days.
LARRY ELLIS INVITATIONAL RESULTS
Senior Elizabeth Eberhardt kicked things off for the Blue Devils at the Larry Ellis Invitational, picking up a 17th place finish in the 3,000 meter steeplechase Friday night for CCSU. Eberhardt ran a season best time of 10:46.77 to earn the finish.
Junior thrower Chelse Terry also competed on Friday night for Central in the hammer throw. Terry launched the hammer to 38.41 meters to record a 21st place overall finish.
Melissa Wolliston highlighted the action for the Blue Devils on Saturday, running a pair of personal best times. In the 400 meter hurdles, the sophomore ran a huge personal best time of 1:05.04, which was over two full seconds faster than her previous best time, to earn an eighth place finish. She also ran a personal best in the 100 meter hurdles. Wolliston clocked in at 14.89 to record a 20th place finish in the event.
The Blue Devils will return to action next weekend at UMass-Amherst for the Pre-Conference Meet. They will then travel to Emmitsburg, MD for the Northeast Conference Championships on May 2 and 3.
