Women's T&F Wraps Up Competition at New England Championships
Blue Devils place 22nd of 40 squads as a team.
The Central Connecticut women's track and field team competed at the New England Outdoor Championships (NEICAAA) at MIT in Boston, MA, on Saturday. The Blue Devils collected 11 points and ranked 22nd out of 40 teams competing.
The Blue Devils collected a pair of fourth-place finishers on Saturday. Senior Elizabeth Eberhardt, who won the steeplechase at last weekend's Northeast Conference Championships, placed fourth in the event with a time of 10:44.90.
Sophomore Melissa Wolliston, who won her heat on Friday, placed fourth in the 100m hurdles finals with a time of 14.53.
The women's 4x400 meter relay team of Wolliston, freshman Sherise Truman, junior Chantelle Deer and freshman Taylor Boncal won their heat with a season-best time of 3:55.16 and placed ninth overall.
The women's 4x100 meter relay team of Truman, junior Sarah Hicks, Wolliston and Deer ran a season-best 48.89.
