Eberhardt Qualifies for NCAA East Regional
Senior Elizabeth Eberhardt qualified for the 2015 NCAA Division I Women’s Outdoor Track and Field Preliminary Championships in the 3,000 meter steeplechase.
Senior Elizabeth Eberhardt of the Central Connecticut women's track and field team qualified for the 2015 NCAA Division I Women's Outdoor Track and Field Preliminary Championships in the 3,000 meter steeplechase. Eberhardt will compete in the event at the East Preliminary Championship hosted by the University of North Florida in Jacksonville, FL on Friday, May 29 at approximately 8:50 p.m.

East Preliminary Championship Schedule of Events
Eberhardt ranks 78th nationally in the 3,000 meter steeplechase and is 46th in the East Region with a qualifying time of 10:27.55, which she ran this past weekend at the 2015 ECAC Championships in Princeton, NJ. The mark was a personal-best for Eberhardt and also broke the CCSU school-record that she previously set back in 2013 (10:37.64) by over 10 full seconds.

The NCAA East Preliminary Championship will be held at Hodges Stadium on the campus of UNF and start lists for all events will be posted to the NCAA website by 2 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26.

Eberhardt will look to finish within the top-12 in the event at the East Region Championship in order to advance on to the NCAA Finals, which will be held June 10-13 at Hayward Field in Eugene, OR.
