Baseball Drops Series Finale Against Bryant on Sunday
The Central Connecticut baseball team dropped the series finale against Bryant on Sunday by the score of 9-3. Central won the first three games of the series on Friday and Saturday. With the loss the Blue Devils are now 5-6-1 overall and 3-1 in Northeast Conference action.

against Bryant on Sunday by the score of 9-3. Central won the

Bryant scored first for the third time in four games during the
weekend series. An RBI single from David Soltis in the first
inning gave the Bulldogs a 1-0 lead. The Blue Devils tied the
score at 1-1 on an RBI single from junior Mitch
Wells in the bottom of the inning.
Bryant took a 3-1 lead in the second inning. With a man on second,
Dan Muscatello tripled to deep right center to score Tim Norton.
A sacrifice fly scored Muscatello to give Bryant the two-run lead.
They scored on in the third to make it 4-1.
Three more runs in the fourth, including a two-run double from
Jordan English, gave Bryant a 7-1 lead. Central scored two in the
fourth to cut it to 7-3. Freshman J.P.
Sportman and junior Danny
Hickey each drove in a run for the Blue Devils.
The lead reached 8-3 in the sixth on an RBI single from Kevin Brown
for the Bulldogs. They added an unearned run in the seventh to
make it 9-3.
Wells and freshman Dylan Delacruz each had a pair of hits for the
Blue Devils in the loss. Wells, Hickey and Sportman all had RBIs
in the game.
