Baseball Wins Seventh Straight, Tops Fairfield 3-0
Sophomore Nick Neumann and junior Harry Glynn combined to throw a nine-hit shutout, and freshman Anthony Turgeon hit his second home run of the week as the Central Connecticut baseball team topped Fairfield 3-0. The win is the seventh in a row for the Blue Devils, who are now 17-12-1 overall on the season. The two teams will finish the weekend series with a game on Sunday at 1 p.m. at CCSU.

The Blue Devils took a 1-0 lead on the second home run of the
season from Turgeon in the third inning. The lead stretched to 3-0

Miller-Jones each drove in a run in the inning for the Blue
Devils.
Neumann improved to 3-1 on the season with another solid outing.
He pitched five innings allowing five hits and striking out seven
batters. Neumann's ERA was 2.19 entering the game, and following
his five innings and no earned runs allowed, it went to 1.93.
Glynne pitched the final four innings, allowing just four hits and
striking out five without walking a batter. The two pitchers
combined to strike out 12 Fairfield batters.
Central and Fairfield will complete the weekend series on Sunday with a single nine-inning game in New Britain starting at 1 p.m.
