Morabito Paces Women's Cross Country at CCSU Mini Meet in Record Time
Brooke Morabito of the Central Connecticut State women's cross-country set a course record at the CCSU Mini Meet on Friday at Stanley Quarter Park in New Britain, CT. The Blue Devils also won the team crown, scoring 53 points, and edged out Providence atop the team standings.

NOTABLE
- Brooke Morabito completed the course in 9:25.06 to pace the field of 82 runners.
- Mya Morabito earned an eighth-place finish, running a 10:01.04.
- Juliana Cancellieri and Maegan Desmarais finished 10th and 11th, respectively. Cancellieri finished in 10:03.36, while Desmarais finished in 10:05.63.
- Kaylee Gravel turned in the fifth-best time for Central, running in 10:21.46 to place 23rd.
- Rebecca Carusone scored for CCSU and turned in a time of 10:52.56.
RACE NOTES
- Former CCSU standout, Angie Rafter, held the previous record with a time of 9:30.00 set in 2021.
- In the sub-varsity race, Isabelle Mondo was CCSU's best finisher with a time of 11:19.43. Alexandria Klopfer (11:24.74), Alyssa Carusone (11:47.40) and Hannah Jackson (12:31.48) also ran for the Blue Devils.
