Morabito Takes Home Seasons First NEC Athlete Of The Week Honor

Graduate student was the individual winner at the Ken O'Brien Minuteman Invitational

Brooke Morabito, a graduate student on the Central Connecticut State cross country team, was named the Northeast Conference Athlete of The Week on Thursday. She earned the season's first accolade after winning the individual crown at the Ken O'Brien Minuteman Invitational.

A New Milford, CT native, Morabito ran a time of 13:56.2 over the 4,000m course to win the event by seven seconds. Her winning effort helped the Blue Devils to a third-place team finish.

The Blue Devils cross country team is back in action on Saturday, September 21st when they host the Ted Owen Invitational at Stanley Quarter Park in New Britain, CT.
