Morabito Places 7th for Women's Cross Country at Paul Short Run
Brooke Morabito paced the Central Connecticut State women's cross country team with a seventh-place finish at the 50th running of the Paul Short Run on Saturday at Lehigh's Goodman Campus Cross Country Course. The Blue Devils competed in the Women's College Gold 6K.
The Blue Devils will run in the New England Championships on October 12.

NOTABLE
- Morabito finished in 20:11.6 and was just four seconds off of a top-five place in the field of 341 finishers.
- Juliana Cancellieri was second for CCSU with a time of 22:01.0
- Mya Morabito turned in a time of 22:55.4 and was followed by Maegan Desmarais (23:07.8).
- Rebecca Carusone (23:11.3) and Kaylee Gravel (23:26.9) rounded out the scorers for the Blue Devils.
RACE NOTES
- Chloe Thomas of UConn won the individual crown with a time of 19:23.8.
- Harvard won the team title, narrowly ahead of UConn. The field included teams from the Ivy League, ACC, Big Ten, Big East and Atlantic 10.
