KEY MOMENTS
- The Blue Devils defense stood tall in the first half, keeping the NEC's top scoring team off the board. Daniel Wilmore made a pair of saves, while Giulio Potenti had a shot off a CCSU corner blocked by the LIU defense.
- LIU controlled the ball for much of the early going in the second half. Austin Rocke would get a shot for CCSU off a corner kick, but his attempt went high.
- The game's only goal came in the 67th minute when a LIU cross was judged to have been a hand ball against Central inside the penalty area. Emil Jaaskelainen would send his kick to the left side, sending the keeper the wrong way, to make it 1-0.
- The Blue Devils were held to one shot over the final 23-plus minutes, but it was off target.
