Championship season kicks off this week as the Blue Devils men's and women's cross country teams travel to the Northeast Conference Championship, Friday afternoon.

  • The Blue Devils conclude a three-game homestand when it welcomes Wagner to Arute Field
  • Central and Wagner will be meeting for the 34th time, with the Blue Devils holding a 17-16 edge in the series, including four straight victories
  • Nasir Smith was tabbed an NEC Prime Performer after a second consecutive 100+ all-purpose yard performance

  • The Blue Devils travel to Brooklyn for the final NEC road game of the regular season.
  • Daniel Wilmore and the CCSU defense have held opponents scoreless in four games this season.
  • Since 2002, SFBK is 11-4-4 against Central. The Blue Devils last won in the series on Oct. 12, 2012 (3-1).
  • CCSU is three points back of the final spot for the NEC postseason.

  • Women's soccer clinched its fifth consecutive, and sixth in the last seven years, NEC Regular Season title on Sunday.
  • The Blue Devils will host Saint Francis on Thursday at 2:00pm. This will be their last game before the NEC tournament.
  • Central has an all-time record of 15-10-4 against the Red Flash and have won their last four matchups in a row.
  • This will be CCSU's designated Senior Day game and the Blue Devils will honor their graduating upper classmen.

  • The Blue Devils are in the midst of playing five straight road games.
  • Central is currently tied for fourth place in the NEC standings.
  • The Blue Devils have gone 27-4 against the Terriers since 2003. CCSU won 3-2 in the first meeting of the year on Sept. 23.
  • Since the 2002 season, CCSU is 7-32 against LIU, but is 4-4 in the last eight meetings. LIU won the season's first meeting, 3-2, on Sept. 22.

  • CCSU hosts New Hampshire for a two-day, 17-event dual meet, Friday and Saturday at the Suydam Natatorium.
  • New Hamsphire is the defending America East Champion.
  • The teams are meeting for the 13th time.

  • The CCSU men and women's cross country team will travel to Loretto, PA for the Northeast Conference Championship on Friday.
  • The women will be looking to defend the NEC title for the 5th year in a row.
  • The men won the NEC Championship in 2021 and will be aiming for a two-peat.


  • Season tickets for the 2022-23 men's basketball season are now on sale and can be purchased online.
