Men's Basketball Slips in Overtime at Le Moyne
The Central Connecticut men's basketball team fell at Le Moyne, 69-64, in overtime on Thursday night at Ted Grant Court in Syracuse, NY. Le Moyne forced overtime with a basket in the final minute of regulation before scoring the final six points of overtime to take both Northeast Conference meetings this season.
Kellen Amos scored a game-high 26 points to pace CCSU, while Tre Breland added a double-double with 15 points and 12 rebounds. CCSU shot 20-of-68 (.294) overall and 11-of-37 (.297) from three-point range. The Blue Devils were 13-of-18 (.722) at the foul line.
Kaiyem Cleary led Le Moyne with 21 points and 11 rebounds. The Dolphins shot 22-of-56 (.393) overall and 8-of-28 (.286) on three-pointers. Le Moyne was 17-of-21 (.810) at the foul line.
The Blue Devils are off until they travel to Wagner on Thursday, Feb. 22.

KEY MOMENTS
- CCSU took its first lead of the game following a three-point play by Tre Breland to make it 12-11. The Dolphins would respond by scoring eight straight points to take their largest lead of the half. Cleary scored the first five points before a three-pointer by Nate Fouts to make it 19-12 midway through the period.
- The Blue Devils would use a run of nine unanswered points to regain a lead. Jayden Brown made 2-of-2 at the foul line to make it 22-22 at the 5:49 mark. A three-pointer by Amos put CCSU in front before two foul shots from Allan Jeanne-Rose made it 27-22.
- A three-pointer by Amos with 2:41 left in the half put CCSU ahead 30-25, but the Blue Devils would be held scoreless for the rest of the period. A pair of foul shots by AJ Dancler would make it 30-27 at the intermission.
- Le Moyne scored the first five points of the second half to retake the lead, but it would remain a one-possession game until the Dolphins got a three-pointer by Luke Sutherland and a layup by Cleary to make it 42-37 with 12:24 to play.
- CCSU would trail by as many as six points in the second half. It was 52-47 with 7:29 to play before Amos scored five straight points to tie the game with 5:35 to play.
- Neither team led by more than two points over the final five minutes. CCSU would get a dunk by Amos and a foul shot from Jeanne-Rose to go up 60-58 with 1:45 remaining. Le Moyne tied on a Cleary jumper with 45 seconds left. CCSU got an offensive rebound to set up a final possession with 22 seconds, but a turnover would send the game to overtime.
- An Amos three-pointer would tie it at 63 before Brown made 1-of-2 foul shots to put CCSU up one with 1:53 to play in overtime. A Cleary jumper on the next possession put Le Moyne ahead and the Dolphins would make 4-of-6 foul shots while holding CCSU scoreless to close the game.

- Le Moyne leads the all-time series, 7-3, and have won the past four meetings, including both matchups this season.
- Amos posted his ninth career 20-point game and posted a season-high total. He was 6-of-14 on three-pointers.
- Breland posted his first career double-double, grabbing a career-high rebound total.
- Central shot a season-low 29.4 percent overall for the game and was just 1-of-7 (.143) from the field in overtime.
- The Blue Devils outrebounded Le Moyne, 48-36, and had a 16-4 edge in second chance points.
