Men's Basketball Non-Conference Slate Announced
The Blue Devils will play 13 non-conference games and open the season on November 6 at Rhode Island
The Central Connecticut men's basketball team and head coach Patrick Sellers announced its non-conference schedule for the 2023-24 season on Wednesday. CCSU will play 13 contests in preparation for the Northeast Conference schedule which begins in January.
"We are looking forward to the season and believe this slate of games will help us prepare for a successful season in Northeast Conference play," said Sellers. "Our group of returning veterans and newcomers will have a chance to build chemistry together against quality teams and get ready for conference play."
2023-24 CCSU MEN'S BASKETBALL SCHEDULE
The out of conference schedule includes five home games and opponents from eight conferences, including the America East, Atlantic-10, ACC, CAA, MAAC and Patriot League.
SCHEDULE HIGHLIGHTS:
- Central will open the season on the road at Rhode Island on Monday, November 6, before visiting Quinnipiac on Friday, Nov. 10.
- The Blue Devils' home opener will be on Monday, November 13, against Framingham State.
- CCSU will also host non-conference home games against Manhattan (Nov. 19), Holy Cross (Dec. 2), Northeastern (Dec. 19), and Saint Elizabeth (Dec. 30).
- Central will travel to UMass (Nov. 22) and Army West Point (Nov. 29), as well as playing three straight road games at Boston College (Dec. 5), Maine (Dec. 9), and UMass Lowell (Dec. 16). The schedule also includes a road contest at Fordham (Dec. 21).
The Northeast Conference announced the 16-game league slate and CCSU will begin league play on Tuesday, Jan. 4, with a trip to Stonehill.
