Men's Basketball Wins Convincingly Over Saint Elizabeth on Saturday
The Central Connecticut men's basketball team rolled to a 99-38 win over Saint Elizabeth to close out non-conference play on Saturday at Detrick Gymnasium. The Blue Devils had five players score in double-figures and led throughout, using an 18-0 run in the first half to pull away.
Allan Jeanne-Rose and Kellen Amos each scored a game-high 15 points, while Abdul Momoh chipped in a personal-best 12 points. Joe Ostrowsky finished with 11 points and Jordan Jones had 10 points. CCSU shot 40-of-78 (.513) overall and was 12-of-36 (.333) from three-point range. Central was 7-of-7 (1.000) at the foul line.
The Eagles were held to 15-of-58 (.259) from the field and 4-of-14 (.286) on three-pointers, while shooting 4-of-6 (.667) at the foul line.

KEY MOMENTS
- Kellen Amos scored the first four points of the game as CCSU opened the game by shooting 8-of-13 from the floor in the opening 10 minutes. After SEU made it 11-4 at the 13:24 mark, Allan Jeanne-Rose would open an 18-0 run with a layup. Joe Ostrowsky would convert a layup at the 8:34 mark to make it 29-4.
- The game would not get any closer than 34-13 the rest of the way and the Blue Devils went into halftime with a 46-21 lead after a three-pointer by Ostrowsky.
- CCSU would score 12 uninterrupted points early in the second half to build a 66-26 with 11:41 left after a layup by Abdul Momoh. The Central defense would hold the Eagles without a field goal for over seven minutes and took their largest lead of the game after TJ Holloway hit a three-pointer to settle to final score.

61 – The Blue Devils posted their second-largest margin of victory in program-history. CCSU defeated Framingham State by 57 points earlier in the season.

- Jeanne-Rose made his first five shots of the game and finished with six rebounds, two steals and two blocked shots.
- Amos added a team-high seven rebounds with three assists.
- Momoh was 6-of-8 from the field with six rebounds.
- Jones added career-highs of five assists and five steals.
- Ostrowsky finished with four rebounds, three steals and seven assists against one turnover. He was 3-of-5 on three-point attempts.
- Matias Rissanen hit a three-pointer for his first career points as a Blue Devil.
- Central claimed its sixth non-conference win, its most since the 2018-19 season (6).
- CCSU has won back-to-back games on two occasions before Jan. 1 for the first time since 2017-18, when it had a five-game and a three-game win streak in non-conference play.
- The Blue Devils close non-conference play on a win streak for the first time since 2017-18 when they won at Maine (Dec. 20) and at UMass Lowell (Dec. 23).
