
Men's Basketball Hosts Northeastern on Tuesday Night
The Central Connecticut men's basketball team returns home to host Northeastern on Tuesday night. The 7:00 p.m. game will stream on NECFrontRow.

OPENING NOTES
• Central Connecticut returns to Detrick Gym to host Northeastern in the teams' first meeting in over 10 seasons.
• Head coach Patrick Sellers is in his third season at the helm of his alma mater and has improved the team's win total over the previous season in each campaign.
• The Huskies lead the all-time series, 10-2, while CCSU last won in the series Dec. 22, 1998.
• The Blue Devils will play at Fordham (Dec. 21) and host Saint Elizabeth (Dec. 30) to wrap up non-conference play before opening league play at Stonehill on Jan. 4.
WITH A CCSU WIN ...
• Central would win its 5th non-conference game, its most since the 2018-19 season (6).
• CCSU defeat a current-CAA member for the first time since Jan. 31, 2013, when it defeated Monmouth, 78-58. Monmouth was then in the Northeast Conference.
• The Blue Devils would have backt-to-back wins twice before Jan. 1 for the first time since the 2017-18 season, when they had a 5-game and 3-game win streak in non-conference play.
NOTABLES
• Central's win at UMass Lowell ended the nation's 2nd-longest homecourt win streak. UML had won 20 straight at the Tsongas Center dating back to the 2022-23 season-opener.
• With UML ranked 89 in the NCAA NET rankings, it marked a Quad 2 win for CCSU. A Quad 2 win is one that either comes at home against a team ranked 31-75 in the NET, on a neutral floor against teams slotted 51-100 or on the road vs. a team ranked between 76-135. By virtue of the victory, CCSU moved up 37 spots in the NET rankings to 244.
• CCSU limited UMass Lowell to 34.5 percent shooting from the field, the best mark for against a DI opponent since holding LIU to 28.6 percent shooting on Jan. 22, 2023. CCSU also held the River Hawks to 4-19 (.211) from downtown, a season-low vs. a DI rival
• Jordan Jones has settled into a starting role, averaging 11.6 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.9 steals in 24.0 minutes.
• His first start came on Nov. 13 vs. Framingham State came with 13 points, 5 rebounds and 3 steals.
• He leads the Blue Devils with 18 steals and ranks among the NEC leaders in steals (6th), assists (10th, 2.5) and FG percentage (13th, .478).
• In 2022-23, he ranked 3rd nationally in the D-2 ranks in steals (2.59) and 6th in assists (6.5) at Coker (SC) University.
• CCSU is 2nd in the Northeast Conference with +1.2 turnover margin.
• The Blue Devils commit just 11.2 turnovers per game. CCSU has committed a season-low 6 against Framingham State and at Army.
• Central has forced at least 11 turnovers in 7 games this season.
• In the opener, forwards Allan Jeanne-Rose and Jayden Brown combined to play 47 minutes, while committing 0 turnovers.
