Women's Golf Picked Fourth in NEC Coaches Poll
Blue Devils open spring season on Mar. 9-10 in Florida
The Central Connecticut women's golf team was picked to finish fourth in the 2015 Northeast Conference Preseason Coaches Poll released by the league office. The Blue Devils open the Spring 2015 season on Mar. 9-10 at the Lonnie Barton Invitational in Daytona Beach, FL.

LIU Brooklyn was chosen to finish first and received five first place votes in the seven-team poll. The Red Flash of St. Francis U were second and received the other two first place votes. Fairleigh Dickinson was third, followed by the Blue Devils, Sacred Heart and St. Francis Brooklyn.
Central played in four tournaments in the fall season. Sophomore Ella Williams led the way with a stroke average of 79.2 in 10 rounds. She finished 16th at the UD Invitational. Freshman Tara Whelan finished the fall with a stroke average of 81.1 and a fifth place finish at the Rutgers Invitational.
Central opens the spring season on Mar. 9-10 at the Lonnie Barton Invitational in Daytona Beach, FL. The tournament will be played at LPGA International, the site of the 2015 NEC Championships. They will also compete at Brown (Apr. 12-13), the Pirate Invitational at Trump National in Bedminster (Apr. 2-3), a match play tournament hosted by IUPUI and Valparaiso (Apr. 17-18) and then the NEC Championships in Daytona on Apr. 24-26.
