Women's Golf Finishes Play at Yale on Sunday
Williams fires a 73 on the final round of the tournament
Sophomore Ella Williams fired a third round score of 73, including an eagle, in the final round of the Yale Women's Intercollegiate on Sunday. Williams and the Blue Devils shot a final round score of 317 in the third and final round and finished with a three round total of 958. They finished in 14th place overall.
Yale won the title with a three-day total of 887, followed by Harvard with a score of 892.
Williams finished with a three round total of 229. She was in 24th place overall. Classmate Kaitlyn Stoddart shot an 80 on Sunday, followed by freshmen Cecy Gutierrez and Tara Whelan each shot 82. Junior Sarah Boden fired an 85 in the final round.
Whelan finished with a score of 242, shooting 82 on the first day, 78 on the second and another 82 on Sunday.
Boden, Stoddart and Gutierrez all finished with a three day total of 247. Gutierrez shot a pair of 82's as well as an 83 on Saturday. Boden's best round came on Friday with an 80. Stoddart fired two rounds of 80 and an 87 on Saturday.
The Blue Devils will be in action again on Oct. 10-11 at Rutgers.
