Before Central: Whelan won the 2013 East Leinster Girls Plate and qualified in the top-15 of the Irish Girls Close Championship....Holds the women's course record at her home course, East Clare Golf Course, with a score of even par 72...She is an experienced team player as well, as Whelan was selected to the Munster Girls team in 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013...In 2012, she helped Munster to the Girls Interprovincial Title for the first time in 20 years, while also winning All-Ireland's.
