Men's Golf Completes Second Round at Macdonald Cup
Murphy leads Blue Devils on the individual leaderboard.
The Central Connecticut men's golf team finished the second round of play at the Macdonald Cup on Saturday. The first round of play was suspended on Friday and play resumed on the second day at The Course at Yale in New Haven, CT. The Blue Devils were 12th among the 15-team field.

Senior Connor Murphy led the Blue Devils after shooting 152 (80-72). After shooting a second round 72, Murphy finished tied for 44th in the field of 81 golfers.
Sophomore Anthony Sebastianelli was just one shot behind Murphy after shooting 153 (78-75). Senior Jack Ayers and junior Matthew Mahlke finished tied at 155. Ayers shot a 74 in the second round, while Mahlke shot 78-77. Sophomore Brandon Raine rounded out the CCSU scoring. Raine finished with 168 following a second round 76.
Harvard led the team standings shooting 568 (285-283). Stirling University was second (572), just four strokes back. Minnesota (580), Fairfield (586) and Rutgers (587) rounded out the top five.
Marco Iten of Stirling University finished with a -2, 138 (69-69) following two rounds. Jon Du Toit of Minnesota was just one stroke behind with a 139 (72-67) and Robert Deng of Harvard was the only other golfer to finish even par or better after shooting a 140 (73-67).
Due to an incoming storm no play is scheduled for Sunday.
