Men's Golf Finishes Play at Lafayette on Monday
Anthony Sebastianelli leads Blue Devils with a day two score of 73
The Central Connecticut men's golf team finished in a tie for 13th place after the second and final round of the Coca-Cola Lehigh Valley Invite on Monday. The tournament was held at the Silver Creek Country Club in Hellertown, PA, and was hosted by Lehigh University.
The Blue Devils improved 13 strokes from day one, shooting 309 on Monday to finish with a two-day score of 631. Fordham won the tournament with a team score of 601, nine strokes better than second place Binghamton. There were 19 teams in the tournament.
Sophomore Anthony Sebastianelli fired a second day score of 73, six shots better than his first round, to post a two-day total of 152 to lead the Blue Devils. He finished in a tie for 15th place overall.
Junior Bryant Bolden also improved on his day one score, shooting 77 on Monday to post a score of 155. He was tied for 25th place overall.
Senior Connor Murphy made the biggest jump from day one to day two, improving seven strokes and shooting a 78 on Monday. He had a two-day score of 163. Sophomore Brandon Raine shot a pair of 82's on Sunday and Monday and finishing with a score of 164.
Junior Nick Direda shot an 81 on Monday and also finished with a 164.
The Blue Devils are back in action again on Saturday, April 16 at the Yale Invitational.
