Men's Golf Seventh, Sebastianelli Second After Round Two at NEC Championships
Sebastianelli shoots even par on second and sits in second place overall
The Central Connecticut men's golf team shot 307 and dropped to seventh place overall after the second round of the Northeast Conference Championships on Saturday. The second round was played at the LPGA International Jones Course in Daytona Beach, FL. It measured 6,939 yards and was a par 72 on Saturday.
The Blue Devils have a two round total of 602 and shooting a 295 on the first day of play on Friday.
Sophomore Anthony Sebastianelli continued to lead the Blue Devils shooting even par 72 on Saturday after a round of 70 on Friday. He is in second place at -2 (142) overall after 36 holes. On Saturday he shot one under par 35 on the front nine, with eight pars and a birdie. On the back he shot +1 with a pair of bogeys and one birdie.
Wagner continues to lead the championships after shooting 291 on the second day and putting up a two-day total of 572 (-4). Bryant is nine shots back at 581, followed by Sacred Heart (589), Robert Morris (592), LIU Brooklyn (594), St. Francis U (599), CCSU, Fairleigh Dickinson (607) and St. Francis Brooklyn (689).
Senior Jack Ayers shot 78 on Saturday and sits at 151 after the first two rounds. He is tied for 22nd place.
Sophomore Brandon Raine followed up his round one score of 76 with a 79 on Saturday for a two-day total of 155. He sits alone in 30th place overall.
Junior Bryant Bolden is right behind Raine after shooting 80 on Saturday and sitting at 156 after the first two rounds. He is tied for 31st place.
Junior Nick Direda was the lone Blue Devil to shoot a better round on Saturday than he did on Friday. He shot 78 in the second round after a first round score of 79. At 157 he is tied for ? place overall. He is tied for 35th place.
The third and final round will take place on Sunday morning.
