Carroll Named NEC Diver of the Week
Sophomore also earned NEC Prime Performer, along with Abbey Keane
Central Connecticut State sophomore diver Kaitlyn Carroll was named the Northeast Conference Diver of the Week on Tuesday. She was joined as a primer performer by Abbey Keane for the duos effort in the Blue Devils win at Stony Brook on Saturday.
Carroll earned the win on the 3-meter board, putting up a score of 264 points. She finished second on the 1-meter board, with 256.85 points, helping to account for 14 points in a dual that the Blue Devils won 125-116.
Keane was also an individual winner on Saturday, capturing the 1,000-freestyle at 0:32.94, 16 seconds clear of the runner-up. She took second in the 500-freestyle.
The Blue Devils return to action the first weekend of December at the Gompie Invitational, December 6-8th. The divers will compete on December 8th at the Pace Diving Invitational
