
Defending Champion Swimming & Diving Announces 2024-25 Schedule
Blue Devils open season with Block Cancer Open Water Swim.
The Central Connecticut State swimming and diving team unveiled the Blue Devils 2024-25 schedule on Wednesday. The season opener is Sunday, September 22nd at the Second Annual Block Cancer Open Water Festival. That event will take place at Lake Terramugas.
The dual meet portion of the schedule begins on October 4th, when CCSU travels to West Point to take on host Army West Point and Vermont.
The first of five home dates for the Blue Devils is a two-day dual meet with New Hampshire. The Wildcats visit Suydam Natatorium October 25th at 5:00 pm and Saturday, October 26th at 11:00 am. CCSU will host Friday Night Sprints on November 8th as the other first semester home competition. The spring semester has the Blue Devils home on three occasions. Sacred Heart visit Suydam Natatorium on Sunday, January 19th for the second-day of a two-day dual meet, that will be held at SHU's facility on January 18th.
The Blue Devils final dual meet weekend is two meets at home. Central welcomes UConn to New Britain Friday, January 24th for a 5:00 pm dual meet. The regular season finale comes the next day when Central hosts Rhode Island on January 25th, at 2:00 pm. That meet will be preceded by a ceremony for Senior Day.
Central will travel to New Haven, CT for a double-dual on November 1st, taking on Southern Connecticut and WAgner. The team will return to the GOMPIE Invitational at WPI, December 6-8th, for the trials and finals meet. The final event of the first semester will be the CSCAA Open Water National Championship, December 15th in Miami, FL.
Following its training trip, CCSU returns to competition on January 11th, at the Hampton Virginia Aquaplex. The Blue Devils will take part in a meet with Old Dominion, East Carolina and William & Mary.
The 2025 NEC Championship returns to Spire Institute. Competition begins Wednesday, February 19th with the trophies being handed out on Saturday, February 22nd.
