Offensive Explosion Lifts Women's Soccer To NEC Victory Over Delaware State
Blue Devils Top Hornets, 6-0, To Run Winning Streak To Three
The host Central Connecticut State University women's soccer team scored four goals in the first 22:30 of play and never looked back, as CCSU defeated the visiting Hornets of Delaware State University, 6-0, in New Britain on Sunday afternoon. The Blue Devils, winners of three matches in a row, are now 3-1-0 in conference play and 3-7-1 overall; while Delaware State falls to 0-3-1 in the NEC and the Hornets are 0-11-1.

- CCSU earned a pair of corners in the first 1:27 of action.
- Aoife Horgan forced a fine save by the DSU keeper Katie Knapp with a dive in just the contest's second minute.
- Emma Radoncic put the Blue Devils ahead 1-0 when she finished a beautiful cross from Leah Howe in the 11th minute for her first goal of the 2024 campaign.
