OFFICIAL ECAC RELEASE
Branch, a senior midfielder from Norwich, England, earned a spot on the All-ECAC Second Team after finishing the season with six points on a pair of goals and assisting on two more. One of her goals proved to be the game-winner in a 4-0 rout of UMass Lowell. Branch also concluded her two-year career at CCSU with an All-NEC First Team nod at the midfield position this past fall.
Cafferky, who is the two-time reigning NEC Defensive Player of the Year, anchored the back four of a Blue Devils' defense that was tops in the league all season to reserve a seat on the All-ECAC Second Team. Central finished the year leading the NEC in goals allowed only surrendering 15 over 17 games and also held a significant advantage over the rest of the league in goals against average, posting a mark of 0.82 in 1653:41 minutes of play. The 5-10 center-back from Boras, Sweden also chipped in offensively collecting four points with a pair of goals on the year. She too was an All-NEC First Team selection in the fall.
Princeton University captured three of the four major year-end ECAC awards, with junior Tyler Lussi claiming Offensive Player of the Year honors and Mimi Asom earning Rookie of the Year recognition, while Tigers Head Coach Sean Driscoll was voted as the DI Women's Soccer Coach of the Year. Caroline Casey of the College of William & Mary captured the Defensive Player of the Year award.
