Women's Soccer Falls To Hofstra 4-0 On Sunday

Hofstra's Jill Mulholland wasted little time getting The Pride on the scoreboard, finding the back of the net at the 6:34 mark. She then extended The Pride's lead to 2-0 four minutes later with a goal in the 11th minute.
Emily Agudelo pushed Hofstra's lead to 3-0 with a goal at the 37:55 mark. Agudelo received a fortunate deflection and then with her left foot, floated the ball over CCSU junior goalkeeper Nicki Turley from 20 yards out.
The Pride then found the back of the net for their fourth goal of the first half just before the break at the 44:20 mark. Noriana Radwan struck a perfect ball from 35 yards out just over Turley's head to give Hofstra the 4-0 advantage at halftime.
Hofstra out shot the Blue Devils 9-4 in the first half, but the Blue Devils were able to draw even with The Pride in shots in the second half with seven each. In total, Hofstra held a 16-11 advantage in shots. Hofstra also held a slight 5-2 advantage in corner kicks overall.
Turley was dealt the loss in goal playing the entire first half, making one save. Her record falls to 2-1 on the year. Freshman Ashley Cavanaugh played the entire second half without surrendering a goal and making one save for the Blue Devils in her second time between the pipes for CCSU in her rookie season.
Junior Claire Walsh led the offensive attack for CCSU, recording five shots in the match and putting a pair on frame.
