Radden Leads Blue Devils at UConn Invitational
The Central Connecticut men's track team continued its early season tune up on Saturday at the UConn Invitational. The Blue Devils were led by sophomore Aaron Radden who won the 200 meters and finished second in the 100.
The Central Connecticut men's track team continued its early season tune up on Saturday at the UConn Invitational. The Blue Devils were led by sophomore Aaron Radden who won the 200 meters and finished second in the 100.
Radden ran a 10.72 second 100 meters too finish second in that event. He was only thousandths of a second behind the first place finisher. He returned to the track later on ro run a 21.21 second 200 meter beating the second place finisher by two tenths of a second.
Junior Nick Trifone performed well in the high jump. He cleared 1.99 meters to finsih second in that event.
The Blue Devil team of Nick Lindblom, Keith Boyd-Carter, Dan Hopper and Radden earned a second place finish in the 4 X 100 meter relay. The team posted a time of 42.14 seconds.
Senior Robert Weston also earned a top three finish. The senior distance runner finished third in the steeplechase with a 9:55.56 performance of the 3,000 meter course.
The Blue Devils return to action Friday at the Bucknell Invitational.
