Men's Track Finishes Fifth at Albany Great Dane Classic on Friday Night
The Central Connecticut men's track team finished fifth in the team scoring at the Albany Great Dane Classic. The men's team was led by record setting performances from juniors Sam Alexander and Rashad Williams.
The Central Connecticut men's track team finished fifth in the team scoring at the Albany Great Dane Classic. The men's team was led by record setting performances from juniors Sam Alexander and Rashad Williams.
Alexander set a school record with his performance in the 3000 meter run. His time of 8:33.78 broke the CCSU record for the event and earned him a sixth place finish.
On the field Williams broke his own CCSU record in the shot put. His toss of 16.69 meters earned him a third place finish and six points for his team.
Sophomore Aaron Radden earned top three finishes in the 200 meters and 60 meter dash. Radden finished third in the 60 meter and second in the 200. His 60 meter time was 6.90 seconds and his 200 time was 21.41 seconds.
The Blue Devils return to action at the Boston Indoor Games next weekend.
