Women's Golf Finishes 12th At Delaware Invitational
Junior Ella Williams posted a three-over 75 on Sunday to lead the Blue Devils in the third round of play the UD Lady Blue Hen Invitational.
The Central Connecticut women's golf team finished in 12th place at the UD Lady Blue Hen Invitational on Sunday. The tournament was held at the Rehoboth Beach Country Club, a par-72 course, and marks the conclusion of the fall season for the CCSU women's golf team.
The Blue Devils fired a final round score of 330, led by junior Ella Willams who posted a three-over 75. The 75 marks the best round shot by any Blue Devil over the three rounds of the tournament. Overall, Williams led CCSU and finished tied for 31st with a three round total of 239.
Sophomore Tara Whelan turned in an 83 in the final round of play to finish tied for 68th overall with a three round score of 263. Junior Kaitlyn Stoddart fired an 85 on Sunday and finished tied for 52nd (249).
Senior Sarah Boden and Cecy Gutierrez carded an 87 and 88 respectfully in the final round of play. Boden completed the tournament with a three round total of 260 to place 66th overall. Gutierrez finished with a three round score of 254 and placed tied for 59th.
