Trio of Women's Golfers Earn WGCA All-American Scholar Honors
Honorees earned a GPA of at least 3.5 during the 2014-15 school year
Three Central Connecticut women's golfers were named Women's Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholars on Monday. Freshman Cecy Gutierrez as well as sophomores Kaitlyn Stoddart and Ella Williams were honored for the their performance in the classroom during the 2014-15 academic year.
WGCA Release and List of Scholars
A total of 758 women's collegiate golfers were recognized with this prestigious honor in 2014-15. The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50.
As a team the Blue Devils posted a combined GPA of 3.38 in the fall and 3.37 in the spring season. The Blue Devils finished sixth at the 2015 Northeast Conference Championship this past spring. Williams led Central with a 12th place finish overall.
