Blue Devils Fall to Temple Owls 14-6
The Central Connecticut softball team fell to the Temple Owls in their second game of the day at the USf Fairfield Suites Tournament. The Owls came back from a 5-3 lead to score 11 runs in the final three innings to earn a 14-6 victory. The loss drops the Blue Devils to 1-3 on the season.

Sophomore Kelsey Barlow had the big blow for the Blue Devils in the game a two run homerun in the bottom of the fourth which put Central ahead 5-3. But the Blue Devils could not protect the lead and the Owls answered that score with three runs in the fifth, five in the sixth and 3 in the seventh.
Senior Liz Montemurro took the loss for Central she falls to 0-2 on the season. Sophomore Jordan Tingley started for the Blue Devils going five and a third innings, allowing six earned runs and allowing eight hits.
Seven Blue Devils had at least one hit and freshman Arielle Bruno led the way with three hits in four at bats. She also drove in a run and scored a pair.
The Blue Devils wrap up play at the USF Fairfield Suites Tournament tomorrow with a single game against Illinois State.
