Blue Devils Post Second and Third Place Relay Finishes on Day One of NECs
Day Two begins on Thursday morning
The Central Connecticut swimming and diving team posted a second and a third place finish on the first night of the Northeast Conference Swimming and Diving Championships. The Championships are being held at the Nassau County Aquatic Center in East Meadow, NY.
In the first event of the night, the 200 yard medley relay, the team of senior Kaitlyn Troy, freshman Mariana Espino, sophomore Katelyn Mann and freshman Jeannette King touched the wall second in a time of 1:43.05.
The 800 yard freestyle relay team consisting of freshman Katie Czulewicz, senior Aidan Devers, junior Erika Maercklein and freshman Simona Visinski finished in third place with a time of 7:29.82.
Thursday's prelims begin at 10 a.m. with the 500 freestyle. Also being contested on Thursday at the 200 yard IM, the 50 yard freestyle and the 200 yard freestyle relay. Finals on Thursday night begin at 6 p.m.
