Women's Swimming & Diving Honored for Academic Success

The Central Connecticut women's swimming and diving team has earned College Swimming Coaches Association of America Scholar All-America honors for its performance in the classroom during the Fall 2018 semester the CSCAA announced Tuesday.

The Blue Devils received the award after combining for a 3.21 GPA during the fall semester. The Northeast Conference saw each of its eight institutions that sponsor swimming and diving earn the recognition.
The CSCAA Scholar All-America award is presented to college and university swimming and diving teams which have achieved a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher. The award is presented twice annually, once to teams achieving the standard in the fall semester and once for teams achieving the standard in the spring semester. A record 713 teams from 460 institutions received the Scholar All-America Team honor for the Fall 2018 semester. Liberty University led all NCAA Div. I programs with a combined mark of 3.79.
